What in the world is happening on Gather?

A few minutes ago, my Gather home page said I had one message on my Gather mail.  So, I thought I'd click on it and see what it was.  Then when I clicked on it, all of a sudden it said I had 117 messages with 110 unread!  It had 5 pages of messages and then an arrow for next.  I didn't check to see how many pages there were in all.  What is happening?  How could I get 110 unread messages in about 2 minutes?  Is this happening to anyone else?  I had to do a mass delete because there is no way I could go through all those messages today.

I think it's because of all the political arguing and the system is confused because everyone is going nuts. That's just my opinion.

That is a mighty weird glitch. Not happening to me, but I am sure it will clear up. If not, notify Gather.

Wow! That's a LOT of email! I've read some posts where people are complaining they're receiving more than 25 notifications per post. I wonder if you inherited that glitch? I am sincerely grateful I haven't had that particular problem.

When I look in my mail box, there are a kazillion messages noted "Gather broadcast." I spin through them and delete anything that isn't meant for me personally. But it is time consuming.

I get pages and pages of emails everyday! LOL I usually delete my gather mail unless it is addressed to me personally. I have my email notifications turned on to send me messages when my connections post things and look at things that way!
