I left early afternoon for New Jersey on Christmas Day. Boston South Station was pretty much like a ghost town.
On my way to South Station I get on the subway (red line) .
As im sititng there a plump man walks by, he looks quite dirty with run down clothing, and many bags. That wasn't what caught my eye though. Under his left arm was a stuffed racoon. Yes you read that right... stuffed racoon. It too was also dirty and it was not a childs plush toy this was literally a STUFFED RACOON. Every time he walked by someone he would kiss it on it's head. Perhaps he may be one of the strangest people I have come across.
Standing right near me is a tall gorgeous woman with boots I really really really want. She seems she can't be bothered by any passerbys, shes chatting a mile a minute yelling at someone over her blue tooth. She also has a ton of bags with her. I really want her boots!
The subway tram finally comes I grab my stuff and hop on. I usually just stand by the door because Im only 2 stops down. Across from me this man is staring at me. It started creeping me out so I turned toward the door. Of course as I turn to face the door , he gets up and stands next to me and asks if Im getting off next, I nod. Then he asks if he can get the door for me. Ummmm Hello this is the subway the door opens on its own.
South station only has a few stray people in it, which is a really weird sight because typically its packed full.
I take a seat, behind me a man is playing an old worn out guitar. I usually like when people are playing music in the station, but this old fellow is just playing the same few notes over and over and over and its really starting to get on my nerves.
Finally the Amtrak arrives and out of no where a ton of people have lined up.
As I take my seat a good looking man asks if he can take the seat next to me. Sure. He too is opening his laptop like I am. Only he opens it and starts looking at pictures of himself. Topless pics. At first I was thinking well maybe he is a model and is checking some of these out. No no no my friend that is not the case, because these pics have the cameras flash reflection in the mirror. There are literally dozens upon dozens of his mirror pics and I cant help but look and chuckle to myself. Each one is only slightly different than the last. Sheesh!
The couple behind us are fighting like cats and dogs. They are seriously yelling and screaming so loud, that the people in the rows in front of us are turning around to see what the commotion is all about. He is threating to move his seat and " leave her stinkin, yelling , bitchy breath alone for 5 hrs. "
( I hope he does so I dont have to listen.)
In the row beside me are two older woman who are about 75. One is wearing black spandex pants with a big black sweater that has gems & sparkles all over it. Shes also wearing about 30 lbs of jewelry. Her partner in crime is wearing a bright pink wind breaker jumpsuit, with a flowered fancy scarf around her neck. They are talking about how they cant wait to go to time square and see the ball drop. They are soooo adorable.
Thats about all I have considering there wasnt much going on and I was extremely tired. Im going home the Sunday after New Years so I am sure there will be tons more to jot down.

What a weird guy!
Blessings to you always...

but my depraved and juvenile hopes weren't borne out.
Maybe we should have a fund raiser for you. The Boots For Kayleigh Project. After you are squared away, the efforts could go to helping other hard working women get the fashion items they can't quite afford.
Maybe a TV spot. You can star. "Thousands of women just like me work hard but barely make ends meet. Your gift of 10, 25, 50 dollars or more can help us buy the boots and other wardrobe essentials we so desperatley need. Call to make your pledge now." :)
Speaking of boots. I'm glad its winter out here. I get tired of seeing women in flip flops all the time. Boots are a nice change.
Thanks!
(just kidding on the racoon thing..it's actually a possum I carry) C);-)
kayleigh, i read your observations and try to take a pic in my mind of each person...what a hoot if you DID snap a few.....and post.... :)
BTW, did you at least ask her where she got her boots? :)
Great people watching story Kayleigh.
Of course, I didn't see either of them, so....
Handsome/nice looking does not necessarily equal smart/sane/intelligent. LOL
If you are inclided to watch, here's the link to the new Corn Dog Video.
Corn Dog Video # 4
It would seem Landen and Robert both have just an eensy foot fetish as well!
Talk about why we just don't need TV, we got this, way better hun!!
