Are you going to make it to your silver wedding anniversary

 Very interesting article in the Philadelphia Inquirer this morning says that more than half of all marriages end before the silver wedding anniversary. The US Census Bureau did a survey of 44000 people married in the late seventies and found more than half were divorced. I have been married for 17 years and don't see any reason why I won't make it to 25 unless something disastrous happens. My parents were married for 54 years.

Not sure since I was 52 when I finally found the man I was destined to marry so if I live to 77 and he lives that long as well we will.

Well...I will be 52 and hubby will be 60 in 2025 so I don't see why not :)

Well, I would have sworn my marriage would make it to 25 years when I reached my 18th anniversary...then my husband ran off with a younger woman. I'm now remarried and will celebrate my 2nd anniversary next month. I'll be in my 70's for my 25th anniversary, so, God willing, I'll see it.

I just had my third anniversary, so I have a long way to go. But I am married to my soul mate, and we are both totally committed to staying married for the "long haul."

DH and I celebrated ours on a romantic dream trip to England. He died very suddenly 4 years later when his heart suddenly gave out. I miss him. This year would be our 32nd. We had talked about a renewal of vows and a big party with all our friends for our 30th.

We just passed our 9th wedding anniversary and I don't forsee anything changing... but then again, I can't predict the future.
