To be heard you need to listen

Listen to me  before you rush to  judgment .
That’s all I ask of anyone.
I try my best to listen to others when they are expressing their  opinions .
I feel in my heart that I owe everyone  that respect.
Now I may not agree with what you have to say.
However I will give you the chance to say it .
I will listen to your  ideas  and  thoughts.
And I expect the same respect  from people.

A lot of people want to  give opinions ….but don’t want to hear them.
The way I see it is if your not willing to  at least   listen to someone else  then you should not express your thoughts.
I believe  that all opinions count even the ones I do not agree with .
And if I don’t give someone the opportunity  to speak their mind Then I have did something very wrong .
All voices need to be heard  in order to make things right.

If all you ever do is talk and never listen.
Then you will never really have  a new idea .
You will be stuck with one opinion.
And  I ask you what if your opinion is  wrong?

If you don’t listen to other’s opinions  then you will never really know if yours is right.
That is why it is important to let others speak their mind.
Because if you give them the right to speak  their mind.
Then you have given yourself the right to change yours .
And that is a beautiful thing.

We all need to be heard  and we all need to listen.
