I know a man who was born on this day
At least this is the day he has chosen.
He took the name of the people
Who took him in and
Shaded to blend.
He just kept on
Moving
Forward,
Then step by step
Broke into a run,
Moving from train
To town
To farm.
He fed himself
And others too
And didn't let life
Slow him down.
I came upon him
Late in his life and
He's thrilled me with his tales.
For a boy who came with nothing,
Not a name, nor a birthday, not even
A clue, he has grown into one marvelous Man
Happy Birthday
My Friend

Thanks for publishing this to The Poet's Weekly Muse!
Thank you for reading me.
Thanks.
I am single.
You know me, most all of what I write is based on truth.
Nicely done. Really, a fun read.
Something made her smile, "Hi! I'm Chris."
I love how you formatted this one, too.

And welcome to gather Mimi!
The form assists the cascade of strength in the phrases..
