My subconscious conjured you up
Confusing my troubled heart
Contradicting what I felt about you
Conveying what I know now to be true
Concerned with only your con
Which brought you here today
Much contriving and conspiring
Concise concealment was your way
Our conclave confirming real love
Perhaps merely a confab to you
Absconding with my foolish heart
While I misconstrued what was true
I tried to concentrate on matters at hand
But conflicting emotions converged
Some based on fact, some pure conjecture
But all condemnatory thoughts emerged
You connected with the wrong person
Your killer, her husband, out-conned you
Conquering you at your own conniving game
Also conducting his wife's suffering too
The congregation had started to conclude
Low conversations were heard to my right
Feeling a bit contrite, I unclenched my fist
Containing the dirt to sprinkle on your burial site
