INVISIBLE TEARS

Sorry, this one's from my dark side folks. Holiday blues and lonely I guess and some other things that I can't change or mistakes I have made.

Another holiday in sight

No strong arms to hold me tight

No soft lips to press on mine

To send shivers down my spine

Yes, I can see the falling snow

But there's no need for mistletoe

I can hear the carolers sing

But there is still no diamond ring

A gift or two catches my eye

Just none from a special guy

Young couples walk hand in hand

Guess I am just not in demand

Guess here goes another year

Playing along with the cheer

Keeping the sadness inside

Where the invisible tears hide

Good poem, Angie. I know there are a lot of people who feel just this way, especially down the holidays. And hey...no need to apologize for your "dark side". We all have them...and I believe that is where some of the best writing is born.

Angie, I love this poem , I could have written it, it describes my feelings this year, last year, and probably for years to come. I am sorry you are feeling this way as you are so much younger than me, I wish things were better for you, and I try and hide my invisible tears too, best wishes to you

Bold, beautiful, raw and quite relevant to how i am feeling these days so i am now not as miserable as before because i found someone to share what I thought was the worst thing that could happen at this point in my life . . . I read this from you and was moved. I would like your feedback on how i dealt with my miserable feeling in a prose piece, boring to some, relevant to others and here . . .
