Flat Randy's New Friends

As some of you know Audrey has been traveling again and flew down to Florida Tuesday and of course took me along.  It was a slow start because there was a severe snowstorm in Iowa and our first flight was cancelled.  Audrey called the airline and they rescheduled us on a plane that was just 3 hours later and went through Dallas Fort Worth and then on to Fort Lauderdale.  We made is with no trouble and arrived Tuesday evening.  It was so nice and warm.  While we were waiting in Cedar Rapids at the airport Audrey introduced me to a couple who were also waiting for their flight.  They didn't know anything about Flat Randy or my mentor Flat Stanley, but after meeting me the woman said she was going to find Flat Stanley's books for her grandchilden.

When we were on the plane to Dallas our seat companion was a nice young woman who wanted to hear all about me.  Audrey is so good at telling the story when she introduces me.  We had a nice flight and it was fun meeting new people.

Yesterday I went with Audrey to a luncheon in Coral Gables, at Runyon's.  It was one of those financial planning things and Audrey went as a favor to a friend.  After all the spiel when we were finishing our lunch she introduced me to everyone at the table and they were all so nice to me.  We even had our picture taken with the man who put on the luncheon.  He said it might even be in the newspaper.  I haven't got any other pictures yet.  Audrey doesn't have a digital so I will have to show my pictures after she gets back home.

It's cold today so we are waiting for a warmer time so we can go to the beach.
