Cheney says Hillary could be next President

Cheney made the comments on the Democratic political scene in an interview with Fox News Channel's Sean Hannity. Cheney said that the former first lady "is a formidable candidate."

"I think she could win," the vice president said, adding: "I hope she doesn't. I disagree with her on nearly all the issues, but nobody should underestimate her. She's a very serious candidate for president."

Of course, take this with a grain of salt as this is the same man famous for saying in 2005 that the insurgency in Iraq was in its "last throes."

Still, one wonders what is going through Cheney's mind when he made the Hillary comment. Is he trying to rouse the base for the November elections?

I think they'd like her to be nominated because they think they can defeat her. Build up someone you think you can beat down later.

For me, Politics is getting on my last nerves! The guys with the good Ideas won't grow any balls, and the idiots walk all over them! What the hell? Republicans get office on Great Ideas and Dreams, and an incredible Agenda, only to let liberals po0rtray everything they do in bad light! If Republicans are ever going to get anything done, they have will need testicular fortitude, and stand up for what they really believe is right!

Come on RIGHT, tell your local congressman to get on the ball, or get out!
If this country falls to the LEFT, the past 6 years are going to look real good.

hum well I don't see how she can be any worse than alot of the others that have and DO hold this office.
Damned even my husband said if she runs I have to vote for her,the girl has grit,to put up with the crap that came up while her husband was in office.

I think Cheney said that b/c he believes she can not win and it would be easy to defeat her. Hillary Clinton is a very savy woman and more than capable of being the first female President but I do not know if the US people are ready to see that kind of power in a woman's hands. I certainly would not mind her as a President but I do not think she would win is the problem.
