Oh, illusive soul,
Meet me in the midst of madness
Mend my self inflicted scars
We'll tread a virgin path
Oh, illusive soul,
Arrive at my doorstep
Author a letter of love
We'll meet in streams of conscience
Oh, llusive soul,
Seek me in the copious crowd
See that I'm not broken
We'll grasp at sturdy limbs

If anyone deserves a soulmate to be there for you always, help you to heal as you'll also do, it's you.
Gentle Hugs, and If you haven't already found him, may your wait not be long.
This poem was very thought provoking and passionately and very artfully handled. Thank you for again speaking from the strong heart that beats within you, Amanda.
Yet many people claim to have found a soul mate. I like the last part with its image of sturdy limbs. It speaks of reality, solidarity, and also has the double entendre effect of arms and legs. Good poem, Amanda!
thank you Amanda

Great poetry from a beautiful soul!
My favorite line is - "We'll tread a virgin path" This says so much about starting anew.
Though the speaker of the poem has been thru scars and madness, she has acquitted herself well. She will continue with courage and not shrink from the crowd. She will put herself out there, and when her soul mate finally finds her, she will not be broken but standing tall on sturdy limbs. Beautifully rendered!!!
