At first glance, this article didn't appeal to me because, frankly, how many other people have a chance at permanent residency just because they're "afraid" to return to their homeland?
Then I realized that this one case opens the door for so many other children who might find themselves in the same situation, if their immigrant parents are deported from the US. This one case and the ruling from the immigration courts sets a precedent for all those children who are facing or that may face deportation.
It won't be any good to them unless they know about it. This is truly something I hope immigration advocates and attorneys pay attention to because it will serve them well in the future.
A teenager who begged not to be deported to China because human smugglers would kill him over a debt has been granted permanent residency in the United States, his lawyer said.
Young Zheng, 18, had been fighting for asylum since his arrival in 2003. He said that he's not wanted by his father because he is the family's second-born and that he faces reprisals from human traffickers over an unpaid $65,000 smuggling fee.
The government granted Zheng "special immigrant juvenile status" in April, which is intended for children who were abandoned, abused or neglected in their home country and allows them to apply for permanent residency if it's in their best interest not to return.

People who believe in outer space like me that it holds the cures for most of today's diseases and that we should have been in outer space for 30 years now. We have the technology to live in outer space now but according to the United States Government we don't and will not for 20 more years.
If we wait for NASA to live in outer space and go to the moon it will be 2025 before we do.

And then, she starts a new "article" based on one comment from the old one (usually taken out of context) to draw attention away from the original article. If I were that 18 year old in fear for his life, assuming that his story is real and true because I prefer to believe that about people until proven wrong....I would be forever grateful to the US for granting me citizenship instead of sending me home to my death.
As to the 18 year old chinese male. Had our immigration and border security been tighter he may of not of entered our country at all. There are countries closer to China that would of taken him in so why did he choose to be smuggled to America is the 1000 dollar question.
