Recent studies show that herbs and spices should be part of an antioxidant rich diet. For instance 1/2 teaspoon of cloves delivers the same antioxidant effects as a half cup of blueberries or cranberries.
Another example is 1 tablespoon of fresh oregano packs as much antioxidant punch as an apple.
