Kids love to bake and they love to eat. This is a great cookie for kids as it is so simple to make. In winter, kids are cooped up in the house and it can get difficult for both children and adults. Having something like this recipe on hand may just save your sanity. It wont break your grocery budget either. This recipe will make about four dozen cookies
Kids Oatmeal Cookies
1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1 cup butter or margarine (softened)
1 cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups quick cooking oats
Cream sugar and butter or margarine in a bowl. Sift and Add flour and baking soda to the sugar mixture. Stir in oats. Roll into 1 inch balls
Place on ungreased baking sheet and press slightly with a fork dipped in water.
Bake at 350 for about 8-10 minutes.
Kids will love to make these and they are just so easy that even toddlers can make them with the help of an adult. Hope you enjoy!

I am glad to hear you will be helping your daughter make these.
Carla,
This is a great recipe for toddlers. They can even flatten the cookies a bit with the fork. They cant ruin them. :)
Thanks
Brenda,
Are you going to try them?
We are all kids at heart sometimes. :)
