I love my George Foreman Grill for quick cooking and keeping my kitchen cool. What are your favorite countertop appliances. Are there some that aren't worth the moeny or the trouble.

I have lots of kitchen appliances and I love all of them. In the winter time my favorites are my slow cooker/crock pots. I have 3 of them, different sizes.
I love to be able to throw everything in the pot in the morning and have a nice hot home cooked meal waiting for me when I get done with work in the evening!
I also have a manual mini chopper that I adore! It only cost around 15 dollars and it saves me so much time and energy!
I never have cooked a steak on George Forman but it does a great job of salmon and chicken breasts.
Could not live with out and you daily...HAAAA
I never boil and strain rice. All I do is put rice and water in pot, 1 cup rice to 2 cups water, bring to a boil, reduce heat cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Never!! lift the lid until time's up. Voila rice done perfectly every time.
I have 2 G F grills, a waffle iron, a coffee grinder, 2 crock pots, a steamer, a rice cooker, and a jet stream oven in my appliance cabinet. I also have 2 coffee pots, a mixer, blender, can opener, vaccuum sealer, gf grill, toaster and bread maker on my counters. and I could probably find a few more gadgets if I look hard enough.
Gil, I'm not sure if I'm missing something (like an inside joke). Is your link on the level?
I also love my crock pot, my mini muffin maker (I have a 2 year old grandson) , my stick mixer, and my hand crank salsa maker. (Yes, I know, it isn't electric, but it is worth the exercise.)
Thanks for mentioning the coffee grinder. As I mentioned in anothr recent post, I recently started using my coffee grinder to grind odds and ends of cereal to add to baked goods etc.
I downsized more when we moved here, much smaller place but needed to be here for our boys to be in a good school.
Anyway, I like my stick blender. Easy to use, easy to clean and takes up very little space.
My large 4 slice toaster- wide enough to accomodate the bagels we buy at Panera's YUM or the thick slices of sourdough that I get at an outlet for 50¢ a loaf.
My new microwave, 50% off at target so price was good. It works so much better than the 14 year old one we had since we got married. The boys love to push the popcorn button, it works perfectly every time!
Hubby bought me a Food Saver for my birthday. I always wanted one. I need to buy jars and the special containers they have to make it more useful. I would likley use it more if I had a space to put it!
The ones I don't like:
I made a mistake and bought a larger crock pot, it's too big.
My bread maker is stored away on the highest out of the way shelf. When I had room I used it to make pizza crusts and other doughs, loved it. Not the best for baking bread.
Got rid of the small George Formen grill, no space and hardly used because it was a pain to clean. We liked it when my parents give it to us.
I miss my dishwasher- wahhhhhhhhhh.
My favorite small (counter top) appliance is the GF griddle that came with the GF grill as a boxed set. I cook breakfast at our house almost exclusively. I can make pancakes 3 at a time so that each person gets his/her plate all at once instead of having to wait or eat them one at a time. I also can fry up all the bacon or sausage at once and then do the eggs and hashbrowns for each person at the same time. Finally. then I'll shut up really, I love to make eggs with hats. Butter 2 slices of bread both sides, use a cookie cutter to cut out the center. place them on the griddle, with the center parts, when lightly toasted flip them and add an egg in the hole, when almost done, flip everything, to cook the other side of the egg, serve with the cutout centers as the hat for the egg. the kids loved them, now that they are grown when they visit they will still ask for eggs with hats.
