After the four dreading days being in day care last week, Kyleigh enjoyed a relaxing long weekend. She stayed at home last Friday because she was sick, and then Mommy and Daddy took Monday and Tuesday off because of the inauguration event.
Kyleigh slept a lot over the weekend, and had a pretty good mood. She's still suffering from the cold and ear infection, but she has been cooperatively taking her medicines. She skipped a couple of meals but also ate quite a bit to make it up. It made me really happy to see her all smiles and having good appetite.
However, we didn't want to give her the false impression that she didn't have to go back to school forever, so we had been telling her from time to time that she had to go to school after the long weekend. Every time when we mentioned "school", she immediately cried and asked for her good friend Little Bee. I am concerned about her school-phobia. And maybe this is another sign that I really should quit working.
Onto another topic. One thing we really glad was that we didn't go downtown DC to catch any of the inauguration activities. It was definitely a better idea to watch the whole thing on TV.

As the girls kept going to school at Mom's place, they got better and better until eventually they didn't cry at all.
