Ok. I am now officially unemployed. I went back to work for 1 day but could not tolerate sitting there & working on the computer all day. Too many things running through my mind. I felt severely pressured to go back to work. So, my husband & I decided that I would quit that job. The job that I had been at for 2.5 years. I loved what I did & the people that I worked with. Here's the problem that I had. After being off of work for 4 weeks, I go back in & look at the schedule to see if I have to see any patients this week. To my suprise, I am scheduled to work for 2 weeks straight with NO days off. Michael(my husband) & I did not feel that with all the problems that I am still having, that it would not be in my best interest to do that. Considering that I do have 2 up coming doctors appointments, I'm still expected to function as if nothing was wrong. Any way, we are praying/hoping that I will be able to make enough to be able to stay at home.
So, my question to everyone is how can I make a living at home? I am a member several survey sites/point sites. I'm also a member of netwinner , moola, & several freebie sites. We have been clipping coupons & trying to be as fugal as we can be, but not sure how this will work. I have recently "cashed" out at 5 of the sites, but not quite sure when it will come in. The sites say between 4-10 weeks. Also, we/I try to get as many things for free that we can. We don't have the money to pay for things to do online, which my personal opinion is that most/some that you have to pay for are scams.
I do plan on looking for a job, but not in the town that we live in. We are trying to get a place to rent in a near by town & eventually move there. I would love to be a stay at home wife, but don't know how feasable that will be. I did tell my mother in law that I would babysit my nephew, but as bad as it sounds, I would need to get something out of it. Either money, groceries, or something a long that line.
Maybe I could see about getting a license to babysit. I don't know if a person needs one or not, but I would assume so. I do have my LPN, CPR, & First Aide, though, that should come in handy. I don't know if I want to go back & work in a nursing home or not. I don't think that there is enough freedom to pick & choose my own hours, though. At least, not in this area. If I babysat, I could make my own hours, I guess.
Any tips/suggestions are welcome.

Day care is good but there are limits on how many children you can watch and some areas want licenses. I would take a course in cpr if you decide to do that. Being a foster parent does give you money every month too.
I would consider typing up professional papers for college students. If you can format and foot note and what every they need that can bring in money. I knew an English professor who did that for extra money in his spare time. Good luck!

In a nutshell - my "Soapbox Advice" is, any job/boss that has a negitive impact on the health and happiness of you and you family is not worth a "stinkin dime". Our wages are to benefit our lifestyle, not drain every ounce of life out of us.

You can find tons of frugal living sites online, they can help you stretch the dollars you have. (I'm getting into these more and more as we try to keep making one income work) Frugal-families Living well with what you have heart4home
will work for you.
I'm looking, too, but don't have any great answers for you.
I saw that someone posted an article link to Associated Content, why don't you think about signing up to write for them. When I started I wrote just for fun on there, then I decided to run a marathon and had a goal of $1,000 made it easily in a couple months. Just this month I have decided to use it as a site to pull income from. With work and some focused topics I can write enough articles to pull in a part time income and still write for other publications and clients that I am contracted with.
Hope everything works out well for you and if you want a list of more places to start send me a PM.
Recently, the admin of the website created a forum and many mothers chat amonst themselves and I tend to be the biggest chatter on there. The people on the forum are very friendly and supportive and I'd have to say, it is a great site, indeed.
Let me know if you have questions.
Sincerely,
Michelle
Anyhow, good luck finding something that will pay enough without being glued to the computer. I can't live on $1,500 a month and it's just me and the hubby. Kids are grown. That is just under the rent and we couldn't find anything cheaper than that anyplace.
Hope you find something that pays well.
You can review anything, even your relatives if you dare! LOL
They like personal reviews, never written or published anywhere else.
The good part is the current going rate is $2.00 per review that is accepted.
You need to earn $50.00 to cash out, but if you like to write, why not check it out?
Good luck in your endeavors. Hope you make lots of $$$$$ I gave you a 10 of course.
