Sorry to al of my friends here on Gather. I have had to take a vacation off of the computer. I was beginning to forget what the real world was like. Not like Lebanon, Mo is the real world compared to most places, but anyways.
Anyways, heres everything that has went on since I was on last.
I started my Internet/Gather vacation without so much as a notice. Seeing as how we forgot to pay the phone/internet bill. So, no home phone or internet for 1 week, until we got it re-hooked up. Guess we will not be forgetting to pay our bills again! LOL Then trying to catch up on all of the surveys before they expire, & all the other emails that I get in my personal email inbox. In 5 days, I had 1000 emails. Some from family/friends, but most from survey sites.
I have been going to the doctor every week for 3 weeks for regular check ups on me & the baby. So far, so good.
I had to go to the emergency room this week though. My doctor is on vacation from last tuesday until next wednesday. So, anyway, I was having a terrible migrane. It started out as just pain in my left eye then everything started looking black. Head started pounding/throbbing/beating. I finally took some Tylenol, helped very little. Unable to eat anythng because my head was killing me. So, I finally pass out because of the pain. I wake up friday morning with non-stop beating/pounding/throbbing, confusion, stumbling when walking, & severe nausea. I start in trying to call any doctor that I have seen to avoid going to the ER & having that huge bill to pay. No such luck. None of the doctors that I have ever seen are in the office today(friday). So, the only alternative, the E.R. Michael comes home for lunch & I give him the news NEEDING to get something done. So, off we go for the hour trip to Bolivar hospital, we only went there because my doctor is here, when he's not on vacation.
They take me right in. My blood pressure is now 140/90, which is really really high for me. The doctor finally comes in & I tell him everything that is going on. He orders a Nubain injection with Phenergan. Which barely touches the pain. They make me wait to see if it is going to go away. It doesn't. So, they then give me Vicodin. 1.5 hours later, no migrane. Just a dull ache. That does the trick, I guess both of them together. So, after being in there for 4 hours, I get to go home.
I start fixing supper when we get home. Smells wonderful. I love beef & noodles!!! We eat, & I have almost forgotten about my terrible 2 says. Then, I get up to take my plate to the sink, & the pregnancy "morning sickness", I think, kicks in. OHHHHHHHHH YEAH!:( Sick again. I do get to feeling better & am finally able to sleep it all off. I wake up Saturday feeling great, except for extremely hungry, tired, & nausious. So, I get up & eat & go back to bed until noon. I get up at noon & eat & then go back to bed for 2 more hours. Boy, what a way to spend a saturday! I felt great, though.
I still feel good today, just hungry. :)
Needless to say, I'm used to the daily headaches, I've had them my whole life, but the migranes must go! It has been a long time since I have had one. Being pregnant, I didn't want to medicate myself & take a risk with the baby. So, we played it safe & went to the E.R.
How have you all been? Have I missed much while gone?

Very good choice not medicating yourself. Always best to play it safe with "baby on board".
I am glad you are back though and hope you are going better.
Tomorrow is the last day for the triple points.
Hurry and get those comments in
They have a Raid disposable yellow jacket trap campaign up now.
Storytelling can be a memory of your parents or of our childhood. But it is still storytelling.
I do hope each of you will visit the site and you will see that you are already a storyteller. Enjoy those stories

She is a great person to connect to.
I realized while I was gone last weekend that you did not know how to get the information for the goings on at Gather. I just wanted to let you know so when I am gone again, you can find out all the happenings.
Hope you enjoyed the triple points week. I'm trying to catch up a little with all the PW articles and it's so slow for me tonight that I'm posting blind and hoping it actually posts. UGH! Since I can't read all of your comments I don't know if you're doing better or not. Did the meds work for you? I hope so. Be careful.
I'll try to catch back up with you tomorrow. We're heading out tomorrow night for a reunion in central Illinois. I'm tickled because our oldest daughter called this morning and is coming up from Tennessee to see everyone. I miss her. She was home for Christmas but that's not enough. :(
You take care and I'll check back in tomorrow morning.
I echo Lynn's remarks. I hope you are feeling better
My daughter has joined gather. I would appreciate it if you would check her photos out. My Daughter Victoria.
I go back to the doctor on wednesday to see how everything is going. I think it is going pretty good. I will be 10.5 weeks when I/we go. So, I'm almost past the 12 week hurdle. So, we'll see. I'll let you all know what is going on!
The meds did work that day, but I will not take anything with out the ok from the doctor, so I will ask him about what I can take if the migranes come back. I will only take Tylenol-just very rarely & my multivitamins. Tylenol has never agreed with me or my stomach. I can taste it for ever when I take it, whether it is coated or not.
So, we shall see.
