Since some of my dear Gather friends have explained that NOCH gives donations to the children's hospital for responses for threads selected for that purpose, I thought, "What a great way to help out the children and to meet new friends at the same time"!
I am relatively new on Gather and don't have a whole bunch of friends but would like a great big batch of them so please respond to this and when you do if it's not too much trouble; how about asking me to be your friend - I will say yes!
And while I am thinking about it, what is up with this colleague business? Why would anyone here actually want to check the box that they want to know me as a work connection? I don't quite get that? Well, that's beside the point :-)
On to the game!
NOCH THREE TIMES ON RESPONSE IF YOU LOVE ME
TWICE ON RESPONSE IF THE ANSWER IS NO
OH, MY SWEET FRIENDS (NOT COLLEAGUES)
NOCH THREE TIMES ON RESPONSE IF YOU LOVE ME
TWICE ON RESPONSE AND I'LL LET YOU GO! ~Donna

Hugs,
Marilyn (cuz you're important and so is NOCH!)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great idea, Donna! Now I'm wondering why I didn't do it!!
Thanks for supporting NOCH!
What a cute idea. (I think colleague is simply for people who share the same profession, like the "serious" writers.)
Welcome to Gather, BTW.
And, by the way, I have not yet checked My Page. I know that several of you are already my friends; but the rest of you that have NOCH'd - have you asked me to be your friend? - please, I will be nice to you no matter what the rumors you may have heard are.
Okay, the rumors are all true; but I'm an old lady and sometimes I just forget what I say. (Was that believable?) If not, I can make an excuse for everything I say or do and if I can't come up with a good enough excuse, I WILL find a way to at least Justify it!
Thanks to all of you beautiful people for NOCH'n ~Donna
Well at least I actually USED to peddle plastic as well
Jack be nimble
Jack be quick
Jack jump over the candlestick
I smell the blood of an Englishman
Be he live
Or be he dead
I'll grind his bones
To make my bread'
(it's all I can remember haha)
oh there's Shannon
my son, John,
Went to bed
with his trousers on,
One shoe off
and one shoe on!
Diddle, diddle, dumpling,
my son, John!
Wee Willie Winkie
Runs through the town,
Upstairs and downstairs
In his nightgown.
Rapping at the windows,
Crying through the lock,
"Are the children all in bed?
For it's now eight o'clock.
The moon doth shine as bright as day!
Leaves your supper and leave your sleep,
And come with your playfellows into the street.
Come with a whoop, come with a call,
Come with a good will, or not at all.
Up the ladder and down the wall,
A half-penny loaf will serve us all;
You find the milk, and I'll find the flour,
And we'll have a pudding in half an hour.
The cow jumped over the moon
The little dog laughed to see such sport
and the dish ran away with the spoon
(What exactly IS diddling anyway? Seems they do a lot of it in Nurseryland)
Had a fuzzy caterpillar.
First it climbed upon her mother,
Then upon her baby brother.
They said, "Arabella Miller,
Put away your caterpillar!"
That lay in the house that Jack built.
This is the rat,
That ate the malt
That lay in the house that Jack built.
This is the cat,
That killed the rat,
That ate the malt
That lay in the house that Jack built.
This is the dog,
That worried the cat,
That killed the rat,
That ate the malt
That lay in the house that Jack built.
This is the cow with the crumpled horn,
That tossed the dog,
That worried the cat,
That killed the rat,
That ate the malt
That lay in the house that Jack built.
This is the maiden all forlorn,
That milked the cow with the crumpled horn,
That tossed the dog,
That worried the cat,
That killed the rat,
That ate the malt
That lay in the house that Jack built.
This is the man all tattered and torn,
That kissed the maiden all forlorn,
That milked the cow with the crumpled horn,
That tossed the dog,
That worried the cat,
That killed the rat,
That ate the malt
That lay in the house that Jack built.
This is the priest all shaven and shorn,
That married the man all tattered and torn,
That kissed the maiden all forlorn,
That milked the cow with the crumpled horn,
That tossed the dog,
That worried the cat,
That killed the rat,
That ate the malt
That lay in the house that Jack built.
This is the cock that crowed in the morn,
That waked the priest all shaven and shorn,
That married the man all tattered and torn,
That kissed the maiden all forlorn,
That milked the cow with the crumpled horn, That tossed the dog,
That worried the cat,
That killed the rat,
That ate the malt
That lay in the house that Jack built.
This is the farmer sowing the corn,
That kept the cock that crowed in the morn.
That waked the priest all shaven and shorn,
That married the man all tattered and torn,
That kissed the maiden all forlorn,
That milked the cow with the crumpled horn,
That tossed the dog,
That worried the cat,
That killed the rat,
That ate the malt
That lay in the house that Jack built.
NOCH NOCH NOCH
The inmates are running the asylum.
NOCH! NOCH!! NOCH !!!
The ants go marching one by one, hurrah, hurrah
The ants go marching one by one, hurrah, hurrah
The ants go marching one by one,
The little one stops to suck his thumb
And they all go marching down to the ground
To get out of the rain, BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
NOCH! NOCH!! NOCH!!!
On top of spaghetti,
All covered with cheese,
I lost my poor meatball
When somebody sneezed.
It rolled off the table
And onto the floor,
And then my poor meatball
Rolled right out the door!
It rolled in a garden
And under a bush
Now my poor meatball
Was nothing but mush
The mush was as tasty
As tasty could be
Early next summer
It grew into a tree
The tree was all covered
With beautiful moss
It grew lovely meatballs
In a tomato sauce
So if you like spaghetti
All covered with cheese
Hold on to your meatballs
And DON'T EVER SNEEZE!
A-A-A-CHOO !!
Barry - you have a great karaoke repertoire! Mine is just dredging up stuff from when the kids were little!!
All for NOCH! NOCH! NOCH!
Happy New Year to ALL. And God Bless each of you and the kids of NOCH!

You have a good heart.
Please email Todd (who started it all) at fullcircle623.gather.com and he will send you an invite to his group, the Superbowl Charity Group for NOCH (that is NOT the correct title, btw, but is what I remember).
All NOCH articles are published to that group.

I cashed out this morning and when i get the check from Gather for my points in December (a couple of weeks) I will buy a BN Gift Card for the $50 raised in December and then send that to Liz.
Other people, as you may have noticed, are having April, Liz or Todd publish articles by them, since Liz and Todd are devoting all their points from September through Super Bowl Sunday to go toward NOCH.
Gather cannot transfer points to NOCH, but a person can send any BN Gift Card to NOCH, or to Liz or Todd.
Todd wrote an article that explains everything about it. Let me get it. I referenced it in one of my stories last week.
Hold on a minute.
