During the 28-week pregnancy class, the instructor told us the three worst situations to have a baby: blizzard, hurricane, and full moon. Everyone thought she was joking when we heard "full moon", but she was serious. She said that there were an exceptionally high number of babies born when it's full moon. She gave us an example that during the last full moon, there were a total of 27 patients among the delivery room, recovery room, etc. on that day alone. Previously she also told us the hospital delivered 100 babies a month on average. So, the full moon accounted for almost 1/3 of them.
I think it is a piece of interesting information to share. I certainly hope I won't be one of those. I would love to get more personal attention, and that would only be possible if the hospital isn't swamped.

selene, with my first child i was induced in the morning and was the only one in the whole baby floor.by the time the moon came out "it was full"there were 23 babies born that night! so i believe this about the moon.
My son's due date was a full moon, but he was early. I'm sure the hospital was swamped on his due date!
