I love cats! I always have. Unfortunately, my husband hates cats! We've been married for almost 9 years, and we've had only one cat that we intentionally got. Of course, living in the country, we had a few come up and make our yard their home. But we only had one, Boomer, in the house, until he decided he'd rather be with the kitties outside. So we let him stay outside, which I regret, because he eventually made the woods behind our house his home, and we never saw him again. Well, Boomer was gotten for my then 4-yr old daughter. Daddy couldn't tell her no!
My mom loves cats, too. She has three main cats, two female (Momma Cat and Maggie) and one male (Fat Cat). Of course, the two females have each had a litter of kittens. In the last litter, one of the kittens looked exactly like Fat Cat. My son (who's four) loves Fat Cat! It was so sweet the way he'd carry that cat around, talking to him, telling him he loves him--and being so sincere. And you should know that Fat Cat doesn't like to be held at all--but he lets DS pack him all over! Well, of course, DS calls this look-alike kitty Fat Cat, Jr. and calls him his! We all pleaded like crazy for DH to give in and let us bring him home. He doesn't like cats in the house, and he said he'd be afraid he'd run off, since we don'tquite live in the country anymore.
Well, about two weeks ago, he started caving! And on Monday, my mom brought Fat Cat Jr to live with us!! DS says he's just Fat Cat now, not jr anymore, since he lives here!! lol And DH said he could stay in the house--which was a surprise! DS has carried that poor kitten everywhere! The first night, he'd get his food dishes and and take them all over, in case Fat Cat wanted to eat! We finally got him to understand that Fat Cat needs his food in one place, so he always knows where to look! But it is so sweet the way he loves him!
