I don't think I can even watch this-I'm still in shock!
I was very saddened by Michael's death. My heart goes out to his children. And I have LOVED listening to and watching all the tributes on radio & TV. But I have to admit, I think the time has come to let it go. I'm hoping this virtual memorial service will allow people to bid their final farewells, and then allow him to rest in peace - and give some closure to his family - so they can slowly move on.
I was in shock, but have to agree with Deirdre. The time has come to remember, but let go so his family can eventually do the same. He will always stay with us when we hear his music!
The sudden death of Michael Jackson brought back a lot of memories for me. When I was a teenager, he was at the peak of his career, having just released Thriller and Bad. My friends and I were huge fans. At ages 15 and 16, we bought concernt tickets for several hundred dollars and all drove to Rhode Island to see him in concert and it was fantastic. I have enjoyed watching the wonderful tributes to his life and the impact he had on pop culture. R.I.P Michael Jackson, your music will live on forever.
