Felted Slippers I Made for My Husband's Birthday

When I started creating objects out of felted sweaters, my husband decided I should make him some slippers. Well, his birthday was Wednesday so I finally managed to make the slippers.

The adventure wasn't without its issues, of course, but overall it went fairly well. The insole is made from a lovely black cashmere sweater that is as soft as a cloud.

I'm impressed. I like to sew and I watch the program on PBS, "Nancy Sews", one Saturday morning she did a program on felting. I don't think I will ever do this, but it gave me an insight into how long it took you to make these beautiful slippers. They are worthy to be compared to any other slippers in this old world and they would win every time. The love and care that went into the making of them would make anyones footsies feel pampered. Thanks for sharing.
