I've been crocheting and knitting for several years, but until recently, I'd only made rectangular pieces (blankets, scarfs, potholders, dishcloths, and filet crochet names). I found a pattern book for crocheting Care Bears characters. I have a young niece so I decided to make Cheer Bear, the pink bear with the rainbow tummy symbol. The instructions were pretty clear and on the few things I was unsure about, I was able to improvise alright. I have never had so much fun making any craft project. It was an absolute delight to see the yarn transform into a loveable bear. I almost wanted to keep it instead of giving it to my niece. I highly recommend this project.
