LOL... I collect dust, way too many cobwebs in my corners and... oooh... not those collections *grin* To be honest my only true "collections" are my books and salt & pepper shakers.
webkinz stuffed animals I got hooked after buying some for my children because they also come with your own virtual pet on a website. madam Alexander dolls throughout my childhood and teen years but not any more
I collect old china, Persian rugs (that's my new things), Indian art, folk art, especially from Eastern European cultures, and cats - real live ones that keep multiplying in my backyard.
I lost all of my collections to a bad relationship:( I literally left with nothing but my clothes and a box or two of memories. I lost all of my antiques and even my great grandparents china set that they got as a wedding present. I had a great old movie collection of posters, books, photos, movies, ccameras and projectors. I also lost a huge collection of postcards that filled boxes and boxes and I had my grandfather's collection of them as well. (some going back to the turn of the last century) I also had an entire room of craft supplies......the list goes on and on.
I have started again to collect antiques, both furniture and glassware. I haven't had the heart to start much else.
Angel figures, drawings, books..and books on anything Spiritual - poetry, music, art..readings and yes the grandkids come free and I have four now and a new one an the way...plus kids of people, I have never met, but came into our lives - along lifes path...
Cyberqwen...your loss was painful I am sure...but we have to remind ourselves its just stuff and is all replaceable..you have the memories - no one can take those away from you...what you had to do you had to do...Sounds like there had to be a total break from the past...you will find other treasures...that I know....God Bless Ya!
I collect dolls, family heritage items, Tuscany misc, antique Dick and Jane books, other antique education books, schnauzer items, angels, quilts (most that I make myself) and neighbor kids.....oh yea, I collect dust bunnies in the corners because I'm on gather so much! LOL

I collect fairies, abetted by friends and families, mostly amy brown divas, and mystic warriors, and I do have an overabundance of books, of course there are the dragons in my den, they like the fairies, and the chefs in my kitchen.
Anything to do with cats or snowmen. Since I'm moving out of State the end of this year I think the snowmen will have to go (they'll be out of place in SC) and I'll just stick to cats. My houses look like gift shops and I don't want to keep that look once I move. Too much clutter. I have to learn to just admire the things in the store and not buy them. That will be so hard.
I collect husbands,snowbabies, and angels. I think I'll keep this last husband I got. I tossed the others out with the trash. Now my house isn't so cluttered up.
I collect anything Jiminy Cricket, cross necklaces, childrens picture books, and fantasy art. I also collect friends. I use to collect music boxes. My husband collects Spiderman and will say I collect Christmas. We have the boxes full of the stuff in the garage to proove it.

Guess the dust bubbies too but I would be happy to sell those.

*written letters
*accordion sheet music
*photographs
*Classical music CD's (choral, symphonic, pipe organ)
*Art (drawings and paintings)
*stuffed animals
*friends (but not "stuffed").
