This is the first song to come to me in many a moon.
It probably needs improvement --- but I'm so excited about it, I wanted to share the lyrics with you NOW. Thanks. Hope you enjoy it. Lonnie ///////////
Old dogs and horses, and gray-haired old men ;
Cherish our mem'ries , when time nears the end.
We howled at the moon once ; we chased the wind;
We ran our races --- but that was 'back when'.
We were younger, and stronger, and braver back then.
Old dogs and horses, and gray-haired old men.
We were kings, we were champions , we ran in the sun.
Our bark, and our bite, and our legs
Were still young.
We were full of ourselves , and the courage to win ---
Us old dogs and horses, and gray haired old men .
Now, we've run our courses ; no races to win ;
For old dogs and horses, and gray-haired old men.
But we love to remember, the feel of the wind---
Us old dogs and horses, and gray haired old men.

:+) Blessings my friend.
Gather Ladies
~
I remember deliberating not taking the bus home from school, racing it home (uphill part of the way) and winning!!!
I remember preaching 8-10 hours in a day in summer, sometimes preaching all morning then playing table tennis with the group afterwards.
"Those were the days days my friend"
"We thought they'd never end"
(Forgot who wrote that song)
Nice to hear from the ladies on this as well. We've all been better wind-chasers in our 'youngers' . Thanks, Lonnie
