Merry Christmas in Heaven
You're with the angels now
Though Christmas will be hard
we'll get through it somehow

We know you are safe
In God's arms you lay
There's smiles and laughter
and you can play all day

You were taken too soon
It doesn't seem fair
We remember you each night
when we say our nightly prayers

Everyone is so sad
because you aren't here
Since you were taken from us
we've shed many tears

We'll see you again
What a happy day that will be
Reunited with you in Heaven
we'll all sing with glee

But for now

Merry Christmas in Heaven
You're with the angels now

This is quite touching. It seems like a song. The rhyme was really good in keeping this poem flowing like a gentle river. May God be with you and your family this holiday season and bring you comfort and joy.

Heather, may God be with you and your family during this Christmas time. It always seems harder to be without our loved ones at Christmas. I lost my husband in 2002.

Somewhere in my files I have a poem called MY First Christmas in Heaven.

It was read at the funeral of a friend of mine who died shortly before Christmas. She was in her 90's. There was not a dry eye in the church after that poem was read and I saved it. If I find it I will remember to email it to you.

Hi! Heather! I always miss my Mother this time of year. She let me be "boss" in later years before she died. She then got to focus on her grandchildren. I got to focus on her.
