A big day tomorrow: I DID IT!

I graduated from high school 1996 and got married to my husband of now 12 years the week before I graduated.    We had dated since my freshman year and he waited for me to graduate for two years after he graduated.  We have five children.  My husband graduated in 2001 from SCC.  I went to school at SCC off and over over the past 9 years.  Taking time out to have babies and to work,  moving three times in the process as well.   I knew what I wanted to do.   But getting there has been a very hard thing.  I am also learning disabled,  I have dyslexia and I have what is nown as adio process hearing problem and learned a year ago working with DVR I have short term memroy as well.  

 But I do not give up and keep trying.  It has not been easy.  I love my children and family and it is hard bening a full time mom and wife plus going to school and living in a one bedroom house while we save money to add on to the place.   I keep busy and I am active physically.  So it has not been easy for me to get my grades and to go to school.   

I recently got a good job and I am shadowing someone, who is training me to take her place.  She is going to get the job of our suprviosr who is retiring soon and I will step into her job.  

Tomorrow I am going to join many other SCC students and walk down the aisle and wear my cap and gown.  I graduated techincally last December but commencment graduation is tomorrow.  I am looking forward to it.  Tomorrow my professors will see all five of my children and know some of why it was not easy for me to get my work in on time.    There is a party before graduation tomorrow for family of the graduates and we bring our children to meet the staff of teachers who helped us.  I earned not one but three AA's one in Parks and Recreation, One in Fish and Wildlife, One in Soils.  I will be going back in a year or two to get my Forestry degree.  Right now I got hired to work for our county for the road department though it is not techincally connected to my degree,  My degree got me the job at $10.00 an hour.   

I will probably work there for a couple three years before moving on to bigger and better pay more connected within my feild.  

As for what else I like to do.  I love to sing and love music and art.  I sing Karakoke and want to sometimes sing for night clubs or other people it relaxes me and it is fun.  

But tomorrow I proudly walk with my class and get my three diploma's and certiications in my feilds of study.   My parents will be there as will two of my brothers and sister in law.  My husband , children, father in law and some other friends.   I just want to share with you.  

After tomorrow and as soon as I get more into my schedule in a week or two I will be able to give Gather a little more time and to comment and make new friends.   I know many have said hello.  I have tried to do some but it has been busy and I have been administering to two of my children the acheivement tests they have to take for homeschoolers.   I have also been working with my five children a niece and nephew for a church special for them to sing God is Able on the 23rd.  I have to go shopping and go home and clean house and fed animals too.   So I am very busy.  Some people thing I should not have joined for point but if they lived like I do now and seen ways to help make life improve they would do th same as me.  

So I am not a writer or poetry person much.  I draw and sing.  I am a very busy mom and I did join for the points.  What is wrong with that to earn toward home depot building material so my daughters can have a bedroom.   Do you know what it will mean to get $100 of gift cards to get material and then some more.  It is huge when you need room and when you have not had a job or your husband either for three years.  So I joined to help toward that.   My mom said I should join.  She injoys being here and to write and writes stories and poems.  She sings well too but she does not draw like I do.  

I have some same friends and some different friends here and she does and I and she belong to some of the same groups ands some diffrent ones.   I will slowly get to be known here and know others.  Be patient thanks.
