Russian Dolls, Twins and a Beautiful Friendship
I have a very dear friend, who adopted twins from Russia a couple of years ago. The adoption process drug out for close to a year and a half and caused a massive amount of stress for my friend. I was "there for her" through it all....including a call in the middle of the night at 3:00 a.m. to tell me... "It's final, they're MINE!!!" At 3:00 a.m. all burry-eyed from being awakened from a dead sleep....I danced a jig for my friend....we danced it together.....she in Russia and me in Texas.
When she got home from Russia, I was one of the first to get to see these little angels. :) As a token of our friendship and "being there" for her through the whole ordeal, she brought me back these Russian Dolls....something I'll cherish forever, as well as our beautiful friendship.
By the way, I met this friend via the internet. She lives 45 minutes to an hour from me and we see each other often. The internet can be such an awesome thing!

David~thank you for for this nice reply. You're always so nice to take the time to read (or look at pics) and then reply. I hope you know that I appreciate it very much. Thank you!! :)
You're a GREAT friend. It just shows in that beautiful picture of you serving as your avatar.
I can see you 'dancing a jig' over this joyous news. You're right! Adoption can be such a great event!!!
Your story is one 'more' of the great things about the internet that tells of the marvelous things that can happen when it's used right. Thanks so much for this... such a great contribution.
This comment and rating of your older gather content was an idea Steve the Legend had on how to give a Christmas gift to our Gather connections. He recently posted an article with the suggestion of checking out content from before we were connected. You are the 10th connection I have done this with so far, Kyra. Since we've been connected a long time, I'm pretty much commenting on the stuff I didn't. I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas.
