OK. Here is the game. Name the state flower of each of the 50 US States.

I will start us off with Georgia: Cherokee Rose, Rose laevigata, adapted by the State Legislature in 1916.

Pennsylvania is indeed the Mountain Laurel, Kalmia latifolia, adopted in 1933

Devil Woman, Ohio is scarlet carnation, Dianthus caryophyllus, adopted 1904, and Julie, you are correct, adopted 1900, and Travis yes, it is the "Texas bluebonnet", genus Lupinus , adopted, 1901.. A+ for the entire class today

Thanks, MrEl F. I thought Ohio was "buckeye" for some reason.... I guess because they always have those buckeye things on different souvenirs.

I don't have anything to contribute.... I don't know state flowers.

Arizona is the Saguaro cactus bloom. Selected in 1901, before we were actually a state.
