I have several friends with MS, with a lot of vision problems. They seem to be doing okay after a visit with their Neuro's and a change in meds. My prayers are with you dear Shaunee.

Shaunee, are you taking Neurontin? I know others who swear they lost their vision while taking Neurontin and then it returned after discontinuing the drug. My vision is inconsistent both on and off Neurontin, so I don't know that the same is true for me. I thought I'd mention it just in case you want to ask your neurologist. I experience what you describe (double vision, flashing lights, loss of vision) and the good news for me is that my vision usually returns about the time I get terrified and sad. I hope the same is true for you.

Thanks Sandy.Im not on neurontion but my nerologist was talking about putting me on it.I have been on rebif since 2003.I haven't had any steriods since last Sepetember which is Good last year I had to have them every three months before they put me on zocar in September 2005.

Shaunee - so many are praying for you ( and will add Sandy, too, had no idea she was having such problems) that I can't imagine you not getting better very soon! I have several friends with MS and one with an undiagnosed problem affecting her vision in one eye, so I know how scary it can be; but most of these are managing with either prednisone, injectable methotrexate or some alternating combination of them, and it seems to help. So as foolish as this sounds, TRY not to let the fear get to you. ( I know how hard that is; I have to sometimes take an anti-anxiety med after my heart attack, if I get too worried about my dear wife's condition, so I don't relapse, so I KNOW it's not just a question of thinking happy thoughts) but all that rambling to say, will have everyone I know praying for you. Let us all know how you're doing!!!! Hang in there!

Thank you Julian as soon as I get up tommorow I am calling my nerologist to tell him I need either predizone or solomedral.I will be ok it is just scary right now because I am by myself.

Very sorry, I have a suggestion. A family friend is very advanced stages and he has been on everything, when I seen him in August he had actually improved since I had seen him at Xmas, I had found out from him that his Doc had suggested smoking Pot, if I hadnt seen the improvement for myself I wouldnt have believed it . I look at it this way if it improves the quality of life than why not, my thaughts are with you.
