I just wanted to let everyone who offered prayers and good wishes to my mother last week that the news is now good. Thanks to the tenacity of my brother in law, Bing (who insisted my mother go to his sister who is a doctor in Springfield, MA) and Xiao (the sister), and my sister, Barb, (who ran my mother all over the place for tests and such), my mother now knows that the cancer she has is considered very treatable. Besides the loss of her punk cut orange hair, she should suffer no long term effects from the treatment and should be back to her feisty self in no time. We know chemotherapy is not easy, but we will trust that all will be fine when she is done. I, for one, will not miss her hair.
