Is there a group on Gather that specializes in trading books ? I couldn't find one,and if not could anyone give us the sites or addresses for their favorites . Most of my local stores have closed up shop.
I was going to suggest asking Marianne since I knew she is an avid reader but looks like she already was here. I agree create your own. It really not that hard to create a group. If I did it anyone can.

Thanks Paul, I have extra history books. I am A fan of Kenneth Roberts ( Northwest Passage,Arundel,Rabble in Arms,others.) I've got some older books on Abraham Lincoln. I would like some of Allen Eckert's older books. I am terribly lopsided towards history and historical novels ;I know ,but !!!! i am going back and trying to read some of the books I should have read in HS and college. I was terrible then about Cliff Notes !
I'm such a packrat..I always hang onto all my book ;-) I do often buy used books though on Amazon and find exceptional prices. You know Dan's idea about a group is a good one...I bet you could do it phil...I'll see if I can find you a link on how to set up a group. I had one when I was here before and it wasn't very hard, really ;-) I'll be back....

I have a friend that is an obsessive book collector. She buys books by the grocery cart full. She loans me dozens of books every month so I never have to buy one. Points nation.
Actually I've never traded books. I used to 'loan' my books , but too many of them never came back, I think now , a trade would be a better deal for me , LOL. I have soooooo many books. Sometimes I go through them & donate to the Library or put a few in a yard sale. I do love hanging on to my books though I don't know why. :) ,.........Points Nation

To my husband's utter dismay, I am an avid book hoarder. I buy them but never get rid of them. I did give a teacher a book recently just to try to get her to read a particular author. That is even rare! I am one of those folks that would love to have a HUGE personal library. I do not even mind if it is a paperback book.

Did you get signed up for paperbackswap? I'm a member there as well as at Bookins.com. I like them both for different reasons and have good luck trading at their sites.
