Books I read in May 2008

17.     Brothers in Arms by Margaret Weis and Don Peppin – fantasy

This is a sequel or book 2 in the Rasitlin Chronicles.  Not as good as The Soulforge but if you are Dragonlance fan, it is a must read. I give it a C+.

18.     Dreams from my Father by Barack Obama – autobiography

A wonderful first time effort, a coming of age book by a man who might be our next President.   B+

19.     Empyre by Will Murray  - comic book novelization

If you like comic books, and Nick Fury of SHIELD this will be good.  The rest of you skip it.  A simple C.

20.     Dead Reckoning by Warren Murphy and James Mullaney  - pulp/action adventure

For the first time in over 150 Destroyer novels, I have regret reading it. A bit about body cavity search a very young girl isn't humorous to me. And to make Bush/Cheney kindly gentle misunderstood old men made me sick to my stomach. This isn't the series I have been reading for over 30 years. Not for anyone D-.

Next month I going back to SF.
