I have had the chance to review this Cd. Sly And The Family Stone, Stand this Cd was recorded originally in 1968 and 1969. I t is a total of 13 songs. The Titles:

I was born in 1970 and I have heard my parents and siblings talking about Sly And The Family Stone. I didn't have a clue, who they were. This music has enlightened me, a whole new Genre, there is nothing like it. I was proud to listen to this, so if yourinto old school, soul kinda funky music, by all means put this on your list to buy.

I was, and am a big Sly fan. I felt so sad, seeing him at last year's Grammy Awards for the 20 seconds or so he was on stage. "Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)" is still one of my favorite "car" songs. The list above certainly takes me back...I played that record till it was so scratched up I couldn't play it.

Ahhh, Sly! Talking with friends recently and we were wondering what happened to him, incredibly he's still alive with a blond mohawk to boot! What a band, and with Larry Graham on bass?!! I remember trying to sneak into a show at Madison Square Garden, I think, but he never showed...one of my life's regrets, never seeing him play live.
