Throughout history, music has enabled us to express what mere speech just can’t convey. Designed to be felt, music created, performed, and perceived transforms us. It carries deep associations to certain places and times, even as it frees us to imagine things we've never experienced. As Nietzsche bluntly summed it up: Without music, life would be a mistake.

"Good review! I had seen this album around, and even passed up the chance to see CBR live, because I didn't really know anything about her. Shame I didn't see your review first!"

On WXPN Featured Album of the Week 6/12/06 - Dixie Chicks 'Taking the Long Way' by WXPN xpn.org
"I probably never would have listened to a band called the Dixie Chicks. I'd have figured they were some commercial product without an original thought in their head. Wrong. They may be taking the long road, but it's the high road and we'll see them in the country music hall of fame before long. "

After having spent some time searching around Gather, I found nothing! So, in an effort to contribute to this community, I am joining this group and starting my own group based on the latest and greatest cuts, mixes, tracks, remixes, and productions rumbling deep beneath the urban metropoli around the world. Please stop by, visit one of the lounges, and put your two cents in. Thanks and I look forward to seeing you there...
I'm so glad music is not only for one group of age.

Also, watch for great new additions to Gather in the coming months, such as audio and video upload, which we hope will really broaden the music offerings in the community.
