Well, I know that you are missing us as much as we are missing you now that you are away at college, Sammie, so I thought I would let you know what has been going on here at home.
Today, we stayed inside most of the day. Your sister kept going into your room to look for you. As you can see, I haven't made any progress on packing up more of your stuff. Maybe I will leave it exactly as it is until you come home - lol!
To take Sweet Pea's mind off missing you, we played with the alphabet letters. She like that. Maybe tomorrow we will try Duplos.
We read books, too. This is the book that she kept bringing me to read over and over. She would climb up in my lap, cuddle up with me, and excitedly point to all the different animals. Then, she would want to go to the front door to look for the cows, just like she did at Nana and Papa's house. It was kind-of sad but very cute, too.
When her father got home, we went out in the yard for a while. Your sister got to take a ride on the lawn tractor.
She even tried to convince him to let her drive.
Believe it or not, though, James did keep the lawn mowed while we were gone.
Here is Koda being lazy and chewing on his rawhide bone.
Spyke is doing well, too.
It didn't take him long to make it perfectly clear what he thought of me taking his picture - lol!
I even managed to find a couple of pretty flowers in the yard to photograph.

The Golden Rod is in full bloom now, so Jay's allergies must be killing him.
Here is a tomato plant that James is trying to grow.
Your sister is trying to collect leaves as usual, but it is getting late and the mosquitoes are getting bad, so we had better get back inside.
