I would go for the Posh Waterfront Hotel, so I can see the ocean. I would bring my husband with me, as a sort of honeymoon, since we've never had one.
For the purpose of this article I will pick the New England 4-nt fall foliage getaways. I would still take my husband and son.
For almost 20 years , me , Bonnie and Gloria go on an annual October road trip....infact, on Saturday we are doing this year's. LOL....even our Lotto subscription has a hint of MA in it!
The Salem Trio! and if you notice my username...Donna42mass..the Mass for Massachusetts!
I loved Boston when I went there a few years ago. I love history and Boston is full of it. My husband loved Quincy Market. I did try to go back a few times, but the traffic was nuts due to construction on the days we went so we just went to other parts of Mass.
i would take my kiddos they would love it:)
rates from $99
Boston hotel rates; stay for Oktoberfest

i would definitely take my boyfriend! who could say "no" to oktoberfest?!

Oktoberfest means beer - right? - I'd take my boyfriend, of course.
I think it would be great fun if my daughter could get away for a few days and we could spend some private girl time together at the posh waterfront hotel.
Of course the person I'd bring with me would be my husband, Walker. :)
The fall leaves are a favorite of ours to view and photograph, and the ones in Boston are no exception.
I would bring my husband, it has been a long time since we had an adult vacation. It would a thrill to leave our rural town and head into the city and enjoy the relaxed luxury of the Boston Harbor Hotel. The waterfront has improved much since we lasted visited. They have torn down the Expressway and cleaned up the harbor, it would be like visiting a whole new place. For us it would be a true perfectly escape.
Perfect Escapes Ending: 10/17/2008 rates from $380, without a doubt, to me there is no place closer to heaven than to be at the waterfront! I would undoubtabl take my roommate Edgar with me, not only does he love the clam chowder, but we both adore Sam Adams beer! We always get there seasonal brews and for the holidays always have at least a case of their mixed micro brews to offer company. We're such fans of the beer that we subscribe to their monthly newsletters, they even include many recipes using the beers in them and as he is a chef we have tried them more than once and they are simply marvelous. They always speak of the tours of the brewery and the different happenings included in them each month and we've talked that one on of these days we are most certainly going to have to take them up on one. They even have tastings at the brewery of which a selection or two is available nowhere else for sale, only at those tastings at the brewery!
Who ELSE would I take?
I would probably ask my cousin Paulette to go with me since my husband doesn't like to travel. We'd have a great time at Oktoberfest, I'm sure!
I would take my friend Debbie because she'd love the opportunity to go out of town. She's never been. Six kids raised on her own. I kind of crimps your style.
I'd love to just see all the old buildings and the waterfront, that would be heavenly.
Hotel stays and Oktoberfest? Sounds like I'll need to take a wallet full of dead presidents with me.
If I had his ear and I could convince him to accompany me, I'd take author Dennis Lehane. He's written some great novels that take place in Boston. I want to go where he writes about and have him show me.
