Email sent. I love NY, the best time I had there was when I treated my Costa rican guests to a stay there. We visited all the sites , including the Empire State, sailed down the Hudson River, and dined atop the Marriott in there revolving Restaurant.

Another one of my favorite experiences was when I was working for Fish & Game, doing fish studies in the Ocean. I boarded the Argo Maine here in Cape MAy NJ met some Maine Fishermen sailed to NY where the MAine Fishermen treated me to David Lettermen Show; but the best was yet to come when we slept aboard ship that night we docked directly under the Brooklyn Bridge, setting sail in the morning by sailing right past the Statue of Liberty.

When I go to New York City, the Central Park neighborhood is a MUST experience for me. We usually stay at The Hilton on the Avenues of the Americas at 53rd and 54th; just a couple blocks from the park. I like to people watch and there sure are enough of them around. I have to visit the zoo, too. Not to mention the shopping on 5th Avenue, the Ed Sullivan Theater, Radio City Music Hall and some of the nightlife.

NOW WE'RE TALKING>.......born and raised in NYC, Brooklyn actually. Worked in Manhattan most of my pre-40 life. Being a native New Yorker, I guess my favorite attraction would be Madison Square Garden and all the wonderful events they have year long. Shoot, I remember being there back (way back) in the 70's when Elton John did his first US concert there and I happened to be there (think it was Thanksgiving night) when John Lennon came onstage. If I'm not mistaken, KiKiDee was the opening act. Wonderful memory. Who can ignore the B&Bailey Circus every year? Went there to many of those at MSG also. I also spent quite a few years working right across the street from them at the Main Post Office on 33rd street.

I am a NYCer, and there are just too many spots to name, but I would say that if you are visiting NYC, take the subway and get out of midtown! Go to the Village, Chinatown, Lower East Side, and even the outer boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens!

I've been to NYC a couple of times. I don't mind the trains and subway, but taking a taxi there scares the crap (can I say that on here?) out of me! They drive crazy, and I had to close my eyes several times. We even got sideswiped once (just a minor ding) and both drivers kept going and acted like it never happened. I asked the cabdriver about it and he said,"Oh, that happens all the time." Other than that, I really enjoyed my trips there. The hotels were great, and there was a lot to see within walking distance.

I've never been there but my sister has! She spent New Year's Eve ther eone year and was there to watch the ball drop!

I have never had the chance to go to NYC. But my daughter was fortunate enough to be able to go for her 8th grade trip. They toured NYC and DC. Every new place they went to in NYC she was calling me telling me what it was like. This was such an exciting experience for her.

When i go to NYC, i always love to take the boat ride and love to see those buildings while floating on the water, specially one summer evening.... all those glittering lights and cool breeze creates some unforgettable memories...... which will make you to come back again and again :)
