This weekend there was plenty of snow in the Poconos. My husband likes to go tubing at Big Boulder. He took some pictures and I thought I would share them with you.
Tubing:
He goes for two hours for $20.00 and gets a lot of runs. He said it was really crowded this weekend but the line moved fast.
When Mother Nature doesn't give us snow, these big snow blowers do. It is really a sight to watch.

Then we decided to go around back and check out the pond our townhouse is on which seemed to be frozen solid. My husband wanted to walk around a bit and have his picture taken standing in the middle of the pond. He called me over to see a long crack in the ice. Just as I went over we heard a loud thunder sound an we quickly walked toward the edge. Good thing I got the picture before he discovered the crack. Obviously there was a weak spot in the ice.

This is what it looked like during a light snow last weekend.

We can walk to the ski slopes and watch the people ski. I love to see the little kids skiing down the slopes with no fear. They really do good and have a great time.
So, even though snow makes us cringe when we have to get out and drive to work, or don't want to feel couped up, when I am in the mountains, I love for snow and get really excite when we are up there and it starts to snow. At Big Boulder we see people ice fishing, riding their snow mobiles across Big Boulder lake, and some people have ATVs and the pull people on inner tubes and sleds across the frozen lake. Maybe this weekend we can get some pictures of that. There is always something exciting going on.
