I just read an article on USA Today online about the Registered Traveler program, and how people may have to pay up to $200 a year for this service. This is a program where you pay money to sign up, then they do background checks, etc. on you, and if you check out clean, you get a pass so you are able to go through airport security faster. It sounds like it would be a great program for frequent fliers, but I wonder if people would actually pay $200. This is pretty much double what was the expected price.
Your thoughts. Would you pay for this service? I personally do not fly enough to make this worth it, but I think if I was working for a company that had me fly a lot, I would request that they pay the fee.
