While visiting our kids in Texas they took us to a great restaurant with a fantastic history in Waxahachie. The Catfish Plantation, is where we ate our first fried pickles. I've tried to make them since and haven't been able to duplicate them. The place is supposed to be haunted and there are write ups about it. They also have a web site. We were lucky the day we were there, we got right in. The kids told us sometimes there is a long wait. But it is worth it. The food was delicious.
