I'm just wondering where everyone went over Labor Day weekend. I flew to Asheville, NC to go to my cousin's wedding. We had plans to try to do some touristy stuff on Friday, but unfortunately that was messed up, so we just did some driving. What a beautiful place! I'm very sorry I missed the Bilmore Estate, which is supposed to be amazing.
My cousin lives on the top of a mountain, and the wedding was at their (the bride and groom's) house. Unfortunately, it rained a little, which made it a little tough to get the wedding started on time, but the skies seemed to clear up fairly quickly so we could enjoy the reception.
I would say the worse part of the weekend was getting into a car accident at around 12:30 Sunday morning. We were in a 15 passenger van (14 of us) and a young guy hit us from behind. I suspect that he fell asleep at the wheel, only because he hit us really hard from behind and we were in a white van (seriously, how can you miss that)! Luckily, no one was seriously hurt. Lots of sore people and one in a neck brace, another in a sling, but nothing fatal.
The flight home was uneventful, except for the delay in Charlotte. I was so psyched to tell you about places to see and visit when in Asheville, but the only thing I can report on is that Avis was a good rental car company and Fairfield was a decent place to stay! Anyone do something a bit more exciting?

I'll have to live vicariously through Jovie D's pics of the Biltmore house.
Mary Hanna, you were 11 when you got married right? :)
Arielle, a weekend of relaxation sounds heavenly. That is what today is for me....next weekend it is back to the usual craziness.
Kitty kat, definitely a wild weekend. We just got some pics back from the wedding though. I'll have to post some of the view from her house. It is amazing.
Thanks Barbara. :)
