Has anyone else found that you live in a great place yet you do not always take advantage of all that is in that area? For example, the last time I visited the aquarium in Boston was when I lived in upstate New York. The same goes for the Cape, and they are both close enough to where I live that I really need to take advantage of that. I'm ashamed to say that I have been in this area for 5 years, yet I have never been on a duck tour.
Anyone else have really great attractions in their area that they just do not take advantage of? Or, if you do, please tell us about what makes your area so great to live in and/or visit.
Although I have been slacking in some areas, I did take a great trolley tour of Boston, which was so great, and I learned a lot about the history that I did not know. My husband also took me on a wonderful cruise of the harbor that was well worth the money and I left with a great history lesson.

Same thing when I moved here to Chicago. I especially liked the architecture tours (by boat here). It's nice to know the city you've moved to. I've also gone to the Arboretum, the Brookfield zoo, the aquarium, the museums, and Navy Pier. I've also gone to a couple of the Street Festivals including Taste of Chicago. Also did Summerfest in Milwaukee. It's fun to play tourist in a city you live in.
