My Publicist thought  I should let you  get to know me a little better.

Gaelyn Whitley Keith was raised in Manhattan Beach, California, a stones throw from Hollywood.  Gaelyn went to college at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in the early 1970’s and spent the years after college traveling around the country and the world, writing short stories and working for South Bay Magazine.  She has been awarded top honors in national writing competitions. 

 Gaelyn discovered her longing to be a writer when she was a child listening to her mother’s imaginative true stories about Hollywood.  In adolescence, encouraged by English teachers who described her as a “born writer,” she began writing her own stories, as well as keeping prolific journals that chronicled her experiences, both internal and external, a practice she has continued throughout her life. 

Today Gaelyn lives beside a lake in El Dorado Hills, with her husband Randy.  She writes in a book-lined upstairs study where she can look out at the lake and wildlife.  She is working on her new book, “The Father Of Hollywood: The Final Event.”

There was a category on Jeopardy last night that I bet you would have done well on. It was Hollywood bios. They were the older stars and shakers bios, so I did well and I bet you would have beaten me:)

Seriously nice to know you better. However I cannot get a single article published even to an unmoderated group. Building a Better Gather has confirmed that I have followed correct procedures. So naturally I do feel a little put upon when I see people giving themselves publcity while I remain invisible. Anyhow good luck in your apparently already successful career. I apologize for taking up space with my own concern.

Glad to meet you I love the different folks on gather most of us would never have the chance to meet in real life. I 'm a California girl myself. Raised in Redlands,CA. and frequented the beaches as a teen and of course the movie stars always came through my town on their way to Palm Springs. So I was raised in the shadow or should I say glow of Hollywood. Glad to meet you.
