Mikaela turned two months old on Monday, June 23. It was bittersweet because I just keep thinking about how my Nanny isn't around to see her today, but I feel like she's here in spirit.
Anyway, so much has happened with Mikaela in the past month. She loves to smile and laugh and coo. It is great to sit there and have a "conversation" with her and have her smile at me. It just makes my day. She is also getting better control of her head, which is great. She loves to lay on her tummy and look all around. Sometimes, though, she moves her little legs and arms and when she realizes that she is not getting anywhere she screams. I think she gets frustrated.
The other day I laid Mikaela on her back on her playgym and I went to the kitchen to get a snack and by the time I got back, about a minute later, she was on her belly! I was amazed. I knew she that she rolls on to her side at night while she sleeps, but I didn't know she'd roll over the whole way already! She is absolutely amazing! I am so proud of her.
I have a feeling that Mikaela is going to be a mover and a talker. When we are engaged in our "conversations" she constantly keeps "talking" to me and she seems so happy. She also does not like to sit still, even when I'm feeding her she has to constantly move.
She also is in love with her swing. It's a cradle swing and she is so entertained by the mobile that it has it's so cute.
I can't believe that my baby is 2 months old already. Time is flying by!

Ok, maybe not me but it sounded good. I still can't get over how much she made noise when she slept and was "talking" when we first got to see her. She's very vocal.
