What was your favorite treat during the 9 month journey?
Nothing really comes to mind. I craved turkey and that's normally a favorite thing of mine to eat. I actually had my mom's boyfriend get out his fryer thing that goes outside out and he made a turkey for all of us.
What was the weirdest food that you ate while pregnant?
Nothing weird that I can think of. Some people think stewed tomatos on top of mac and cheese is odd. I do that normally though.
What type of food was the most difficult to give up?
I didn't have to give up anything. My husband did...or I couldn't allow him near me. I hated the smell of coffee so none was allowed to be drank or made near me.I also couldn't stand his toothpaste and how minty it is. I also couldn't use 2 of my perfumes because they were to strong.
I loved cantelope, watermelon, steak and turkey.I also wanted slushies all the time. *That was the most unhealthiest thing I ate/drank while pregnant*
I couldn't take my prenatal vitamins or even flinestones. Anytime I had a craving for steak I knew my iron was a little low. After we ate steak I'd be good for another few weeks intil I craved it again. All my test and everything were great when I listened to my body.
Salads and hershey bars 1st baby
Doritos nacho cheese chips , salads not so weird except for the lemons.
For the first trimester, it was hard cheddar cheese, milk and Arby's roast beef sandwiches. In the middle it was peanut m & m's and smoothies. In the last trimester, it was anything cold & sweet (watermelon, Edy's Whole Fruit Bars, strawberries, grapes, ice cream).
I also ate wild caught salmon, walnuts, lots of salads, skim milk, orange juice, kashi, yogurt, whole grains, spinach, grilled chicken, hamburgers.
The most difficult one for me to give up was cookie dough. I LOVE cookie dough, but didn't eat any during my pregnancy because I was afraid of the raw egg.
Weird: I ate applesauce with cheese.
I ate two cans of baked beans with bacon.
I now can't look at the stuff.
As for having to quit eating something.... tuna fish. I love tuna and I keep reading more and more that the mercury levels are too harmful. So, it sits on the shelf and rather than eating it once a week, I will now eat it maybe once a month. But I can't give it up totally!
My youngest has an egg allergy. Wonder if there's a link?
With my son..I craved mashed potatoes and Brown gravy. And the occasional biggest gooiest ice cream I could find.
With this one..I seem to have trouble with textures..like if the macaroni gets too mushy I can't eat it.
Definitely slurpees and slushees. You know, the kind you get from 7-11? I could slurp on these all day!!
What was the weirdest food that you ate while pregnant?
I haven't had any strange cravings. I am more partial to salty than sweet.
What type of food was the most difficult to give up?
Well, I still have 3.5 months to go so I am trying to enjoy it as much as possible and eat whatever my little heart desires!
I hated the smell of chocolate, and went off of all sweet foods and drinks, except Cola.
I then went on to Toasted cheese sarnies with loads of Ketchup and Pickles.
