I came thinking exactly to your question to see just what it was that you were talking about so here I am. The truth of the matter is I like it over the top and down because when it is pointed to the back it is too hard to grab a hold of and too difficult to tear that way. At least that is my reasoning for this preference of mine.

We have a kitten and she has unraveled the WHOLE ROLL of toilet paper a few times now!

Over the top makes it easier for her to do this but I still like it that way. I just try to keep my bathroom door shut now so that she can't sneak in there.
