Sisters and authors Patty and Gina, join the Manic Mommies to talk about their book "Shut Up About Your Perfect Kid! The Movement of 'Imperfection.'"

As mothers of children with disabilities, these moms know first hand the challenges of raising "imperfect" children in society, dare we say it, obsessed with perfection. We also talk about how a child's diagnosis can change the dynamics for many a mom's relationships.

With more children being considered "less than perfect" this book has great timing. I loved the show and look forward to reading the book, although I do not face these issues. I have many friends that do face autism and I would like to be more prepared. Thank you for such a great presentation and topic.

i am definitely buying this book. I have two kids with learning disabilities, and could really relate to so many of the issues the authors talked about during the Manic Mommies podcast. Thanks!

I loved this podcast. It was very enlightening. I have a friend that has a child with Asperger's so I am going to tell her about this book. Thanks for getting these issues into the minds of moms everywhere! Love the show! Thanks!
