Just to get to know each other here I thought I would ask a few questions. If too personal, no need to answer, just thought it might be a good intro. Here it goes:
- Name of child with autism (first only)
- Age at diagnosis and current age
- Favorite peice of advice
- Most humorous advice/story
- Current/favorite therapies
I'll be the first to answer, here are mine:
- Danny
- diagnosed at age 2 (actually day before 2nd birthday), now 6 years old
- On the day he was diagnosed the dr said "start ABA therapy as soon as possible, it's his best chance of recovery"
- I have had so many bits of humor, but one of my favorite is "he's so cute he can't be autistic"
- We've been doing an ABA program for the past 4 years and for my son it's made a HUGE difference. I know every child is different and for some this doesn't work but luckily he's made great progress. He also does speech and OT at school and we're trying to get insurance to FINALLY pay for some private therapy as well.
Ok...so let's hear from everyone. If you want to add a question/comment, please feel free.

He is on a GFCF diet w vitamin supplementation and allergy meds.
