shadows of a different passion
Dispassion is my father’s raincoat
which I have borrowed not to return.
An earl-grey evening, tea is made;
windows can’t measure off season’s rain.
I tattooed my mind with an image
of the rain god’s presence; we have tea
while laying the blueprints of schemes
to wash away tears from the streets.
My father’s raincoat hangs on, cornered.
Rain and I dream quite passionately.

Love is a virgin
“Love is always a virgin.”
Petrels are moving away
in this evening of gale.
“Love is always a virgin.”
We are returning against
the wind, space; against the time.
This is a sundown of
reshuffling life’s deck.

love is virgin
When I saw earl grey tea I could not help but think of Captain Jean Luke Picard of the Starship Enterprise.
Ah well...
The fact that I can even comment on the latter may surprise you because you know how long I have been alone; but I do remember love and I remember there is nothing greater than the feeling one gets when falling in love. And that feeling takes over whether it's your first love, your third or your thirteenth (etc). The passions and the possibilities are all there in their virgin form. And when the passion and the possibilities persevere, the love endures.
Thanks dude.

Love always a virgin...a splendid way of looking at each new relationship in one's life.
As always Kushal, I thank you for sharing your thoughts.
which I have borrowed not to return.
My take on this is a bit different from some of the others. I liken this to how we take on some of the characteristics of our own parents as we get older. Even the ones we said we never would have.

reshuffling life’s deck.
In fact, "Reshuffling Life's Deck" is a great title for another poetic work ~ !
